Acne can strike at any age from about 13 onwards (sometimes before), and can vary in severity. For example, you can have just a few spots here and there, or your face could be covered in angry, red inflammations that just won't go down - either way, it's acne. There are hundreds of creams and washes out on the market today that all claim to banish spots within 3 days - but the reality is, after 3 days, you're still in the same boat.
So, if you're fed up of your acne, and want some information on how to really get rid of acne... read on. First of all, let me tell you that I used to have severe acne myself - and it was a painful and embarrassing time of my life. I didn't have it on my back, nor on my neck - it was just my face. I tried drinking more water, I even tried all the herbal remedies - but none of them seemed to help. That was until one day, I stumbled across something that really changed the way my face looked.
It's pretty simple really, but I created my own daily routine to help combat my acne. As soon as I got up in the morning, I would wash my face with an exfoliating wash - and rinse with warm water (not hot - because it would open my pores again, and not cold, because it would damage my skin). I would then drink a litre of water before lunch. And I would NOT touch my face at all with my hands. I would reduce my saturated fat intake, and make sure I ate plenty of citrus fruits. In total, I would drink 3 litres of water per day, and ate 5 pieces of fruit (3 being citrus-based).
At bedtime, I would wash my face with a deep-cleansing face wash, and make sure I slept with a fresh towel over my pillow. I would never use moisturiser, as this would block my pores, and I made sure I got as much fresh air as possible - this helped because UV lights really help to reduce spots. That was my routine - and it really helped. It didn't get rid of my acne immediately, but it sure helped to slow it down and really reduce it.
