Skin health is an important component in wellness. Often our bodies will use the skin as a means of getting rid of waste. This waste presents as sweat, oils and sometimes sores and blemishes. One of the most common conditions of the skin is acne vulgaris, also known as common acne. Healthy skin and diet can help eliminate the condition, both in adults and children. Here are some things to try to naturally eliminate acne.
First, make sure to wash your face daily. Some of the face cleaners help to get rid of dirt and oils that can build up on our skin and cause acne. Getting rid of dirt will help our pores to remain unblocked.
Second, there are some natural lotions that can help replenish the skin and combat acne. A topical with tea tree oil or niacinamide, a form of vitamin B, is helpful in fighting acne. This has been proven scientifically. In many cases, it has been shown to work better than most medical cures.
Third, try to avoid touching your face with your hands during the day. Our hands contain a hoard of germs that can affect acne. Try not to rest your head on your hands when in class or at work. The dirt underneath our fingernails can get on our face and affect the pores of the skin.
Lastly, the diet can help. Zinc insufficiency has been linked to acne. Zinc can be found in meats, eggs, seafood and wheat germ. Copper is another mineral that will help to fight the effects of acne. Copper can be found in nuts, cereals, potatoes, meats and veggies and should be taken if extra zinc is going to be added to the diet. This will ensure that neither mineral is deficient.
Along with diet, sometimes food allergies can manifest through our skin. Many people do not realize that a daily food that they may be consuming may be a large contributor to their acne. This can be tested with a simple blood test called and ELISA test, available at many Doctor's offices. If you can eliminate the food allergy, in many cases you can eliminate the acne.
