Hello there, I would like to start by telling you a bit about me and my Acne problem as a teenager. I grew up in London, England and went to a school in Ham. Here many people with Acne from the age of 14 upwards were bullied. I was one of them, so I decided to go about getting treatment.
I started to get spots at the age of thirteen and my mother thought it was because I was not washing my face very well. So I had to make sure I scrubbed my face day and night to ensure she was kept happy. However the problem worsened as I got older and by the time I was sixteen I had confirmed with a doctor that I did indeed have Acne.
Then started the lengthy treatment process of my spots. We did not have much money so we tried the cheapest solutions possible. Then I was recommended Benzoyl Peroxide. I had done some research on this product in particular and I was put off by all the negativity and bad reviews. People's skin was turning red and flaky, some people's faces were getting burnt from using it, I really did not know what to think.
I began using Benzoyl Peroxide at the age of seventeen and the product was extremely painful for me to use. I was using the 10% cream. Then I had to take it down to 2.5% and this is when my face started to clear up. I did have to use a lot of moisturizer as my skin was turning red and flaky. Two of my friends have also used Benzoyl Peroxide to great effect and I would highly recommend it myself. Good luck with your treatments.
